THE IDEA
A porcelain plate from the Catch Me If You Can Collection, featuring two black cockroaches in contrasting scales: a smaller one placed near the upper edge and a larger one appearing lower across the plate.
Their unexpected presence turns the table into a playful visual encounter, exploring our instinctive reactions to what we usually choose to avoid.
*Scientific name: Blattodea, class Blattodea, highest classification: dictyoptera. There are about 3,500 different species of cockroaches in six major families around the world. There are 150 species reported in Europe, and 20 in Greece. Biological cycle: egg, nymph, adult insect. -
