THE IDEA
A sculptural gold ring from the Fine Phallus Collection, composed of a rhythmic sequence of phallus forms encircling the finger. Each element is set with a diamond at its tip, introducing a precise point of light into the repeated composition and giving the ring a strong sense of movement and continuity.
Rooted in ancient Greek and Roman symbolism, the phallus has long been associated with fertility, generative power, protection and good fortune. In the Greek and Roman world, phallic symbols were regarded as apotropaic emblems, believed to ward off harmful forces and the evil eye, and could even appear above the main entrance of a house as protective signs for the household. Through repetition, geometry and light, this ancient symbol is reinterpreted as a bold contemporary ring with a distinctive sculptural presence. -
